On a rest and relaxation excursion, we paid a few locals to give us a Martial Arts
demonstration. The guy smashed roofing tile made of clay several inches thick with his
Ulna Bone (top wrist). Ouch!
Left (center)
Thats Mui she did our laundry. No play for pay. Geniune hard worker and mother of
twins.

Sgt Stan Drayton had us put on put on workout suits that Sunday morning.
We got up at 5:30 a.m. normally, so we should have been sleeping in.
The men next to the oil drum are our Officers. Drayton, an eloquent speaker
with powerful presence had us fraternize while he shared his story.
Drayton explained principal and philosophy behind Martial Arts.
A avid reader of Black Belt Magazine which was historical and philosophical more
than technical at the time.
Top right,
Thats Mui's husband and father of her twins.
I wrestled with the 2 year olds for hours on their Tatami bed.
Befriending the family, and writing history the father gave a souvenier
photo .My next project is to translate his message on the back of his photo?
Bottom right,
With a title as Army boxer, Drayton scores a right cross on Sgt Hanna
a Champ in another weight division.
Of interest here, is what you do not see ?
Hanna from Tennesse, was just married and his wife left him to
return to Korea.
Drayton father of two daughters, spoke of missing his daughters every day.
The Vietcong, our enemy was tunneling under our feet in what history writes
as The Tet Offensive a major military offensive.
